Monaco, a lovely little mini-state that has been formally independent for centuries and is best-known for its casino, the Monte Carlo.  Why it continues to exist is one of those mysteries Europe loves and visitors become enamoured of.  As an independent state, it is called a Principality and is internally self-governing, with its own currency, postal system, harbour and its own airport.  Ruled by the Grimaldi family for centuries, its most famous citizen seems to be the late Grace Kelly, the American actress who married Prince Rainier.  This is a beautiful and very detailed map of this small city complete with its own Top Attractions list.  Also included is a detailed map of the entire French Riviera from the Italian to the Spanish borders and inland to cover Provence/Cote D’Azur and Languedoc provinces of France. There must be hundreds of castles, fortresses and palaces in this region and many are noted on the map but it is also the locale for famous historic cities such as Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Nimes, Nice, and Grenoble.  This is a perfect map for those biking the Riviera or travelling by train, as the Euro-Velo routes are all shown.
